With the holidays and New Year around the corner, I thought it would be the perfect time to ask you a few questions:

Are you stressed?

Are there certain habits you can't seem to shake that have been driving you nuts for years?!

Do you ever feel like there's too much information out there about how to live a better life?

If your frustrated or even confused at this point, I totally get it.

And in my experience, this uncertainty turns into procrastination and paralysis.

When I don't know who to listen to, who's right or who's wrong, I end up doing nothing.

I default to taking no action.

"My only job is to help people who are really stressed out feel safe and relaxed so they become open to suggestion."

And taking no action is the reason why another year has come and gone, and you're still trying to knock certain resolutions off your list.

So, I decided to invite Grace Smith on the Unleash Yourself podcast because she is 100% absolutely-without-a-doubt-in-my-mind-amazing!

Grace is a master hypnotherapist and an expert at reprogramming the habits and beliefs that are keeping you from living your best life through a clear, simple, and widely effective way to finally have the breakthrough you're looking for.

And, if you're a skeptic when it comes to hypnotherapy I encourage you to hold that thought and listen to this episode.

"90% of what's driving your behaviour is stored in the subconscious."

Trust me, before I met Grace - I was a skeptic too. (The Grace of 5 years ago was a skeptic too before she met the new Grace of today!)

Over the past few years she's worked with thousands of clients including professional athletes, Hollywood actors, NY Times Bestsellers, etc, who all wanted one thing: to break through the habits and limiting psychological beliefs that were keeping them from being the best version of themselves.

She even takes us through a guided meditation at the end of the episode, so make sure you stick around until the very end! It's a game-changer.

"Human beings are programmed to move away from pain, and towards pleasure."

And, not only did Grace really rock this interview, but she even offered us a special chance to join Grace Space for $1.

Grace Space will help you make the powerful forces of your subconscious mind work for you instead of against you… It will help you recondition your mind for success every single day.

I joined, and I highly recommend that you do too! And, with the offer Grace gave us to join for 1$, it's a complete no-brainer. (All you have to do is type in your first name and email in the form you see on that page to unlock access to the special 1$ offer.)

I hope this episode finally helps you close your eyes and get free.

More specifically, in this episode of the Unleash Yourself podcast, you'll learn:

  • Why Grace quit her high-powered, high-stress corporate job.
  • How she used hypnotherapy to quit drugs, alcohol, and cigarets.
  • How she was able to transition from her corporate job to being a hypnotherapist when her initial job didn't compliment her new career choice.
  • How it felt to finally be free.
  • How to get rid of that little negative voice inside your head.
  • Why most of your problems live in the subconscious. (And how to correct them!)
  • How to close your eyes and get free.
  • A special offer to join Grace Space for only 1$!
  • And much, much more!

This conversation with Grace really help me get rid of a lot of negativity that I was dealing with. She's something special!

020: Drop Out Of School, Start Your Own Business, And Stop Giving A F*** What Other People Think (featuring Sean Kim).

Tell me what you think about when you hear the phrase: "break free and follow your passions".

For some, it would mean to quit their job and travel the world.

For others, it would mean letting go of a toxic relationship and finding their true love.

For Sean, it once meant dropping out of University and becoming the entrepreneur he always knew he was supposed to be.

And, coming from a conservative Korean family, that wasn't easy for him to do. He got a lot of resistance. (I'm Italian, so I know exactly where Sean is coming from!)

But, Sean saw the value in learning specific skills early on and he set out to learn by doing.

And at first, that meant to learn through failure.

He was broke, miserable, and even homeless at one point after he decided to drop out of university and then got denied entry to the US after having already sold everything and just being left with the backpack he had with him.

"I looked at the world a little bit differently than most of my friends."

With the last 700$ in his pocket, he grabbed his bags and left for Buenos Aries, Argentina. He knew that his money would take him much further there (because of the exchange rate) and also thought it could be a cool way of meeting other young entrepreneurs who liked to travel.

Going there was the turning point. It was the moment where Sean realized that he could be resourceful in the face of adversity. And this gave him tremendous confidence to move forward.

He knew he'd be okay. No matter what.

And, travelling also opened his mind to new ways of thinking. He started seeing things from a new perspective and quickly found creative ways to "hack" certain processes that other people were otherwise following blindly.

"We know nothing until we see the other side of the world."

Sean is now a super successful online entrepreneur and podcaster: he's the founder of The Growth ListRype, and SKIM LIVE.

I'm super excited to have had the opportunity to catch up with Sean for episode #20 of the Unleash Yourself podcast. I really think you're going to love this episode because it's less of an interview, and more of a conversation.

More specifically, in this episode of the Unleash Yourself podcast, you'll learn:

  • How growing up in a conservative Korean family dictated the career Sean initially wanted to pursue.
  • What happened when Sean realized that he wanted to take a different path than everyone else around him.
  • The tipping point that allowed him to take the leap and drop out of university to chase his entrepreneurial dreams.
  • How he got denied entry into the USA and how this left him homeless.
  • Why he packed all his stuff and left for Buenos Aries.
  • How he hacked the system in Argentina to instantly double his US dollars.
  • How to shift from a mindset of scarcity to a mindset of abundance.
  • How he used a website called angel.co to land remote marketing contracts.
  • Why you need to start blogging and why other people want to hear YOUR stories.
  • How Sean's entire story came full circle with the launch of Rype.
  • And much, much more!

On October 10th, I was in Kona, Hawaii, volunteering at the IRONAN World Championships.

As I stood at the finish line, the clock approaching midnight and the 17-hour deadline for the athletes to finish the race inched closer, I saw Derek Fitzgerald cross the finish line.

I remember standing there - shaking my head in disbelief.

Why? Well, Derek Fitzgerald is a cancer survivor and heart transplant recipient. And, he was crossing the finish line of one of the most gruelling and physically demanding races on the planet.

From that exact moment, I knew that I had to reach out to Derek and invite him to share his story on the Unleash Yourself podcast.

And, today I'm incredibly excited to share this interview with Derek with you because it's a REAL story of courage, strength, persistence, determination, and the sheer drive to never give up.

At 30 years old, Derek had a large tumour removed from his stomach and was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

And, although the chemotherapy saved his life, it severely damaged his heart.

Derek had heart failure and needed a heart transplant.

"I was prepared to die. But, I didn't want to die."

And, on January 3rd, 2011, Derek finally received his new heart from an anonymous donor.

Since that day, Derek has become the first person to ever finish a full-Ironman after beating cancer and receiving a heart-transplant. Since his first Ironman in Lake Placid, he has completed 4 Ironmans - most notably the 2015 Ironman World Championships.

He now races with the heart of a hero and raises money for The Recycledman Foundation with every mile he swims, bikes, and runs.

"I'm still here. I'm not dead yet. So I'm just going to keep going."

Derek is so humble, grateful, and appreciative of his third chance at life and he shares all the details to his incredible story in episode 019 of the Unleash Yourself podcast.

Trust me, this is a story you NEED to hear.

12068758_914270518655767_1013847184859452312_o.jpg

More specifically, in this episode of the Unleash Yourself podcast, you'll learn:

  • How Derek discovered he had a tumour the size of a grapefruit in his stomach.
  • What happened to Derek when he was told he had cancer.
  • A detailed and visual description of what it's like to go through chemotherapy.
  • How it felt to beat cancer, but then be diagnosed with heart-failure.
  • What it meant to Derek to receive a heart-transplant and why it was a bitter-sweet experience.
  • How Derek felt after waking up with a new heart and what it was like running for the first time.
  • Why you shouldn't focus on the mountain, but rather, your very next step.
  • What it was like competing in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
  • And much, much more!

This interview with Derek will keep you on the edge of your seat and hanging on to his every word.

018: Making Sense Of The Stuff That Matters (featuring Danny-J).

Danny-J-Unleash-Yourself-Podcast

What are the odds that someone who was pregnant at the age of 15 years old, who then contemplated suicide multiple times, and was then temporarily paralyzed in their early 20s, would go on to be one of the most passionate, fun, and outgoing people you'll ever meet?

I want you to meet my friend Danny-J!

What I love about Danny-J is that she is probably the most honest and real person I've ever met. She's not afraid to dish it to you straight, cut through all the BS, and say things the way they are.

As an online entrepreneur, she's created multiple successful brands online, all with the same underlying mentality: to "make people more awesome(r)".

She first found success in the fitness industry as a personal trainer when she started No Excuses Fitness. She then co-founded The Sweaty Betties which became one of the largest online fitness communities for women.

Yet, the reason why Danny-J was driven to start doing business online instead of in person, was because of some major struggles and insecurities she was going through at the time.

"We need to have a healthy body, because that's where the spirit is housed."

When she began competing in fitness competitions, she developed adrenal fatigue and started gaining weight. She was doing everything she told her clients to do, but was getting opposite results.

Inevitably, she began questioning everything she was doing. She was embarrassed.

And to escape the real world, she started doing business online.

It was her way of hiding.

"I had to realize that people love me, for me. Not because I have 6-pack abs."

And in this interview, Danny-J tells us everything that's happened to her, how it made her feel, and the steps she's taken to get over it all.

I loved interviewing her because she's been faced with major obstacles many times in her life, yet she has always found a way of overcoming them. And, although she didn't know it at the time, following her gut, listening to her instincts, and following her heart would be her biggest reasons for success.

So, if you're fed up of all the overnight success stories you see online - you're going to love this interview with Danny-J because she tells it as it is! She's not shy to say how hard it's actually been for her, but also how worthwhile the entire process was.

If you want to be inspired, look no further than this interview with Danny-J!

More specifically, in this episode of the Unleash Yourself podcast, you'll learn:

  • What happened when Danny-J got pregnant at the age of 15 years old.
  • The exact thought and vision that stopped her from killing herself.
  • How she got paralyzed when she was 22 years old.
  • Why she quit being a personal trainer because she started gaining weight and felt embarrassed to train her clients.
  • How wanting to hide from the real world led her to starting The Sweaty Betties.
  • How her life changed when she bought a Groupon deal for hypnotherapy.
  • Why buying a motorhome, travelling with her husband and dogs, and living a minimalistic life shifted her perspective on what's truly important.
  • Why you don't need to know why you want to do something, and why you should follow your instincts without trying to justify all your actions and decisions.
  • And much, much more!

017: It takes failure to find success (featuring Sarah Baker).

Sarah Baker was an international fashion model since the age of 11 years old.

She was living every little girl's dream of dressing up, posing in front of the cameras and feeling like she was the prettiest girl in the world.

Unfortunately, that feeling didn't last too long.

She was called fat, was told she needed to do more pilates to have slimmer thighs, and felt like she had to go to the extremes to lose weight - all before she was 13 years old.

By the time she was a teenager, she began smoking a pack of cigarets a day and started obsessing over being skinny. It got so bad, that simply eating a small piece of cheese would make her feel enough guilt to ruin her entire day.

"I woke up one morning and said "screw this!" I need to do something that's going to help women by promoting a positive body image."

Things started to change for Sarah when she was in Istanbul, working as a model 16 hour days. She was sitting in a room at a casting with other young models from all over the world, when she looked around the room and saw a room full of negativity and unhappiness.

Every girl was smoking.

Every girl was talking about what they're eating (or not eating) that day.

And every girl was looking at each other as if they were threats to one another.

There was no love, no compassion, and no positivity.

Since that exact moment Sarah decided to quit smoking, start living a more healthy and holistic lifestyle through her nutrition, finally get healthy, and start modelling on her own terms.

"It takes failure to find success."

She has now made it her mission through The Balanced Babe to help other women take the lead and accomplish their own life goals and dreams, as well.

And, this is all due to Sarah having personally been there before.

Since Sarah knows exactly what it feels like to be paralyzed by self-doubt and deal with major insecurities, she now teaches the exact process she followed to become more balanced, whole, and happy.

And ultimately, become The Balanced Babe.

So, if you're feeling stuck - as if you had no power or control over your future, you're going to love this episode with Sarah Baker!

More specifically, in this episode of the Unleash Yourself podcast, you'll learn:

  • What Sarah learned from becoming a fashion model at the age of 11 years old.

  • The one 'ah-ha' moment that allowed her to realize how unhappy and unhealthy she was, and the process she followed to go about changing it.

  • How she kept modelling - but this time, on her own terms.
  • The exact process she followed to stop smoking 1 pack of cigarets per day, and how you can use it to create sustainable change in your own life.
  • What it means to live a holistic and balanced life in your relationships, career, and nutrition.
  • How to use self-love techniques to overcome self-doubt.
  • Why you need to stop living vicariously through other people's Instagram or Facebook pages.
  • And much, much more!

Kimanzi Constable used to deliver bread for a living, now he writes.

You can see his words in cool places such as the Huffington PostEntrepreneur MagazineMind Body Green, the Good Men Project, Fox News, and many more.

His books have sold over 100,000 copies and his new book, Stop Chasing Influencers, drops later this year.

On top of it all, in the last three years he's also lost 170 pounds and moved his family to the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii.

It took a lot of hard work, but Kimanzi is now living the life he once only considered to be possible in his dreams.

"Instead of giving up and getting more frustrated like I had in the past, this time I got more determined."

I caught up with Kimanzi right before he took off for speaking engagements in France, Israel, and Egypt, and he told me exactly how he felt in 2011 when he thought that the road to success was an impossible mountain to climb. After all, he was $180,000 in debt, he was 170 pounds overweight, and his marriage was falling apart.

Kimanzi credits the book "48 Days 'Till Work You Love" for helping him shift his thoughts from "I want to do this" to "I can do this" and inspiring him to take massive action.

He spent all of 2012 working hard and making small, yet consistent progress. No matter what it took, he was ready to keep pushing forward.

"Right before my father died, he said to me: 'Don't die with regret with your heart.' "

In this interview, Kimanzi tells us how he honed his craft as a writer to get featured in the Huffington Post, Entrepreneur Magazine, Fox News, etc, and how he went on to write multiple self-published booked that went on to sell over 100,000 copies. He explains how he created a business around the lifestyle he dreamt of living - one that allowed him to lose 170 pounds, get out of debt, and move his family to Maui.

All as a college dropout.

More specifically, in this episode of the Unleash Yourself podcast, you'll learn:

  • How Kimanzi went from being stuck in a business that forced him to deliver bread in Wisconsin, to becoming an entrepreneur and moving to Hawaii.

  • How we went from self-publishing his first book and making 5 sales in the first 6 months, to selling over 40,000 by the end of the year.
  • The mental shift he made to lose 170 pounds, and overcome $180,000 of debt.
  • The book that changed his life and inspired him to take massive action towards his dreams.
  • How to become a better writer and write for Entrepreneur Magazine, Huffington Post, Fox News, etc.
  • How to overcome the negative voices or doubters when they are apart of your inner circle.
  • Why you need to stop chasing influencers and build your own audience instead.
  • And much, much more!

nomad

ˈnōˌmad/

noun

  •  a person who does not stay long in the same place; a wanderer.

I want to introduce you to Nick and Gen.

They are a nomadic couple who are currently travelling the world - together.

When they first started out as online entrepreneurs nearly 3 years ago, this is the exact life they were dreaming about living.

Yet, they just recently hit the road.

Along the way, they seemed to have lost themselves in their work and forgot why they started an online business in the first place.

They were stuck in a condo they just bought, working non-stop for a business that no longer excited them.

They were overworked, unfulfilled and unhappy. They felt as if they worked themselves into a corner. As if they were no longer working for themselves.

"Eventually we lost our focus, and seemed to have forgotten why we started doing this in the first place."

They were stuck in "business jail" and needed to do something about it. They thought back to why they set out to be online entrepreneurs in the first place and realized that it was for the flexibility. For the ability to travel spontaneously. Or even to travel with no plans of coming back.

So, they flipped their life upside down and within 3 months, they rented out the condo that they just bought months before, sold all of their possessions (car, furniture, clothes, etc) and packed their entire lives into one medium sized suitcase each.

And so, they were off to travel full-time.

"The funny thing is that our travel lifestyle costs us less than staying in our condo back at home."

In this interview, Nick and Gen share some cool stories about their travels, what it's like to build a business while being on the road, and how they manage to travel harmoniously with one another.

Better yet, they talk about how YOU could do the same: focus on creating your ideal lifestyle, get your partner on board, and live the life of your dreams.

Check out their new course called: Your Freedom Visa

More specifically, in this episode of the Unleash Yourself podcast, you'll learn:

  • Why Nick and Gen started a successful online business but still weren't happy.

  • What made them want to sell everything they owned and just keep the bare essentials that fit into one small suitcase each.
  • The process they followed to hit the road for the long term as a nomadic couple.
  • Interesting travel stories and how to deal with uncertainty when you're on the road and things don't go as planned.
  • Why they changed industry and started a brand new business even though they were already successful.
  • How to travel long-term with your partner in a harmonious way.
  • How affiliate marketing really works and why it made them change industry.
  • Why communication is the most important factor in successful relationships.
  • How YOU could hit the road, with your partner, and earn your Freedom Visa.
  • And much, much more!

I met Shane back in 2010. At that time, I had just launched a baseball themed t-shirt business while I was in my senior year of college and I was introduced to Shane; who was running one of the biggest baseball accounts on twitter: @ShtBallPlayersDo

We were both NCAA baseball players.

We were both graduating with degrees in business.

And, we were both entrepreneurs running businesses from our dorm rooms.

So, I was super excited to interview Shane on the Unleash Yourself podcast because I knew he was going to have so many incredible stories to share.

Why? Because he's been hustling for years and has had so many incredible experiences because of it. It's that simple.

"That was my first taste at working for myself. Which I quickly got addicted to."

For those of you who don't know Shane, he is the founder and personality behind the Baseball Fam empire. He runs the @ShtBallPlayersDo twitter account which has over 111,000 fans and is also the host of the Baseball Fam Podcast which just launched less than one month ago and has already become the #1 "new sports podcast" on all of iTunes.

The funny part is, on the surface it all seems like it started by accident. Like it fell into his lap.

Yet, Shane has been starting businesses since he was 17 years old and has already accumulated a tremendous amount of experience. He's learned what works and what doesn't work by working in the trenches - not sitting on the sidelines.

"I remember waking up to a $40 order one day. And, even though it was just $40, the fact that I woke up one morning and had made money in my sleep amazed me."

Besides his Baseball Fam community, Shane also became Star Executive with Vemma (an affiliate marketing company) where he built a team that sold over 2 million dollars of Vemma product all over the world.

More specifically, in this episode of the Unleash Yourself podcast, you'll learn:

  • How Shane first started experimenting with entrepreneurship at 17 years old by flipping sports apparel on eBay.

  • How he started a business around his passion for baseball.
  • The main reason why he's been able to build a massive community of raving fans online.
  • How affiliate marketing has allowed him to connect with people from all over the world and how be built a team that sold over 2 million dollars of Vemma product.
  • What the word "freedom" means to him - and why it's not what you'd think.
  • How to deal with haters and have incredible self-confidence that makes you feel unstoppable.
  • Why you need to launch your business while you still feel embarrassed by it.
  • How to deal with massive disappointment and find opportunity in failures.
  • And much, much more.

Joel Boggess is my go-to guy for clarity, confidence and direction. He’s who I call when I'm feeling stuck, under-challenged or overwhelmed.

And, that's specifically why I reached out to Joel a little while ago and asked him to be a guest on the show.

Not many people know this about me, but about two years ago I completely re-launched my life.

I quit my job.

My relationship of 6-years came to an abrupt end.

Everything that seemed to be consistent and secure in my life disappeared.

And, in this interview I opened up with Joel and discussed some of the key issues that we face when we want to grow, change, and find a new direction.

For those of you who don't know Joel, he's the author of the book Finding Your Voice which is a #1 Amazon Bestseller for success, happiness and self-esteem.

He's also the host of the Re-Launch Podcast, which just recently passed the 1,000,000 downloads mark!

"To be able to successfully re-launch into the next phase of your life, you need to have routines. Those things that you do over and over again."

It's time that we start believing in ourselves again!

Life is too short to spend it siting around waiting. If you want something, no matter how different it is from where you currently are in your life, then go out and get it. Big dreams start out with small and reasonable acts.

So, if you're unfulfilled, unhappy, unmotivated, or unsatisfied, this episode is for you! Joel will show you exactly how you can re-launch your life and start living the live you've always dreamed about.

More specifically, in this episode of the Unleash Yourself podcast, you'll learn:

  • How Joel survived 3 skull fractures, came out of a coma and completely redefined what the doctor's meant by "Joel will no longer live a normal life".

  • How to find your voice and finally get clarity on who you really are.

  • The three things you need to do to cut through the clutter and discover your true path.
  • How to align yourself with the right people in order to help you move forward with confidence.
  • Why growth is essential and the step-by-step process you can follow to re-launch your life. (At any age)
  • A huge life lesson we can learn from Rudy Ruettiger - from the famous football movie "Rudy". Watch the trailer here.
  • How can we embrace change when we feel bounded by identifiers of who we are or should be because of our past.
  • And much, much more!

My interview with Joel is incredibly powerful. His wisdom has helped me unleash myself of many psychological barriers that once held me back. You don't want to miss it!
